The E-Version of My Book.

My book, This Fine Piece of Water: An Environmental History of Long Island Sound, is available in a Kindle edition (although not yet for Barnes & Noble's Nook).

If you don't have a Kindle, you can get the Kindle app for your IPad.

Either way, it's a great idea for a Christmas gift this year.

Hi Tom. My name is Richard DeMarte, I'm 16 years old and have had 10 feature articles I wrote published in fishing magazines in the past few years and am proud to be the youngest member of the NYSOWA (NY State Outdoor Writers Association). I'm also fortunate to be one of only a few junior pro fishermen in the USA (and I have over a dozen sponsors supporting me). Recently, one of my feature magazine articles, entitled "Giving Back: Investing In The Present And In Our Future" won 1st place in the magazine feature article category. He's a link to that announcement: http://www.joinfca.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=137&Itemid=62

Also, here's a link to the article itself ... I think you'll enjoy it ... especially the part about the Long Island Sound: http://www.noreast.com/magazineissues/article.cfm?i=179&e=3&s=324&a=2761

Last but not least, I thought you'd want to know that I referred to you and your book "This Fine Piece of Water" in my most recently published article "The Long Island Sound: New York's and Connecticut's Inshore Fishing and Boating Paradise" in Nor'East Saltwater Magazine. I think your book is absolutely wonderful. I'll save, re-read and treasure it forever. This article hasn't been posted on Nor'East's website yet, but if you'll be kind enough to provide me with your email address, I'll send you a link to the article as soon as it's posted.

If you'd like to know a bit more about me, my "fishing directory" website (which I designed and maintain) is www.nyctfishing.com with over 800,000 visits so fat this year it has come to be recognized as one of the premier fishing directory websites in the northeast. On the right side of the homepage of my website you'll see a yellow box entitled MORE ABOUT RICHARD. If you click on the links in that yellow box it will take you to many examples of my media appearances, articles about me and articles I wrote that have been published, as well as galleries of photos and videos of me too.

Tight lines,
